About

About

I am a food lover based in Copenhagen Denmark. I travel to eat and experience through food. I am no food critic, nor do I claim to have the necessary insight in gastronomy to give professional restaurant reviews. This blog will be a very subjective reflection of my dining experiences in Copenhagen as well as abroad.

Budget guide

At the end of each entry you will find the estimated price of my meal. The price is based on a meal for one person at the time of the visit and does not include drinks.

As a significant amount of my meals are consumed in Copenhagen, I have divided my Copenhagen dining experiences into three tiers:

Large budget – gourmet restaurants

Medium budget – bistro style restaurants

Small budget – typically more informal restaurants

Camera

I have recently bought a Nikon D3000 camera with a 18-55 mm VR lens. I am still learning how to use the camera and I hope my pictures will improve as I get to know the camera and its’ abilities.

The pictures from my 2008-2009 meals are primarily taken with my now dead Sony DSC T1 pocket camera.

I hope you like my log on food

Love your blog. Always nice with unbiased views on restaurants both home and abroad.
I liked your Korea trip. Not often one gets gastronomic news from that part of Asia!
    Kind Regards,
    Alex

Thanks Alex! I think the Seoul-dining scene is undergoing an exiting development process. Though it might take some years before Seoul becomes an Asian gastro hot spot like Tokyo and Hong Kong.

Yeah, it seems as if they need to find their own personality a bit more and ditch some of the French influence.
They should look at the Danish scene and apply the more natural style to their great array of exciting vegetables and fish etc…

I agree. Jung Sik Dang is on the right path to (re)inventing Korean fine dining, but they still have some way to go and they need to refine their culinary identity.
